Father Christlin Rajendram will be in Poland from 13 July till 30 July 2026. On this website you can find all the information concerning meetings with him that will take place. Some of them are of religious nature, some are not. All the events will be held in English and Polish. All are welcome, regardless of their level of expertise in Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and spiritual affiliation.

Father Christlin Rajendram SJ is a trainer and practitioner of Nonviolent Communication. Father Christlin Rajendram is a Jesuit from Sri Lanka. In his country, he experienced the effects of the civil war that lasted there for 30 years. The turning point in his life came when, while studying communication in the USA, he met Marshall Rosenberg, the creator of the communication model of Nonviolent Communication ( NVC ). He was fascinated by NVC. He prefers to talk about a way of life rather than a method, about discovering the language of the heart. For many years, he has been running workshops and has trained many trainers, but he prefers conversation and dialogue to training and lectures. He believes that it is a practice available to every person, which can help develop a relationship with God, with oneself and with another person.

22 July Poetry in the Mindfulness Practice

Thích Nhất Hạnh is known as a mindfulness teacher, a ZEN master but he was also a poet. For him, poetry was a form of mindfulness. In one of his poems he wrote:

Please call me by my true names,
so I can hear all my cries and my laughter at once,
so I can see that my joy and pain are one.

Please call me by my true names,
so I can wake up,
and so the door of my heart
can be left open,
the door of compassion
.

During the meeting we will explore his poems and the poems of our favourite poets. We will look for a path to „awakening” in poetry.

23-26 July Practicing nonviolence in a world of crisis – 3 day workshop in the Osada/Earth in Prosinko

We are living in times marked by multiple crises and growing uncertainty. Faced with conflict, suffering, and chaos, it is often difficult to know how to respond. We may find ourselves overwhelmed by helplessness and apathy, or reacting to violence with more violence.

Can nonviolence offer another way? What does it mean to practice nonviolence in today’s world? Can it become a meaningful response to the challenges facing humanity? How can we cultivate it in our daily lives?

We warmly invite you to three days of reflection, dialogue, practice, and experimentation around these questions together with Fr. Christlin Rajendram – Jesuit priest, Nonviolent Communication trainer, and facilitator of workshops and retreats around the world.

Born in Sri Lanka, Fr. Chris lived through civil war and brings a unique perspective shaped by his personal experience of conflict. His work integrates Nonviolent Communication (NVC)Ignatian spirituality, and various contemplative traditions, creating a space for deep inner transformation and authentic connection.

27 July Christian sources of meditation and contemplation – how can we draw from them?

100 yeas ago John Main OCB was born. He highlighted the practices of meditation for Christianity, which had been encouraged by the fathers of the Church. Today there are groups of Christians who meet to meditate and they ground their practice in prayer and Holy Scripture.

Jesuits, who have been also present in Poland for 100 years, have developed a model of spiritual retreat in silence. Ignatian retreats have become an important source of reference for Poles.

For it is not knowing much, but realizing and relishing things interiorly, that contents and satisfies the soul, wrote Ignatius.(SE 2)

This meeting will be in some way a continuation of a meeting which took place in the Klub Tygodnika Powszechnego with Lama Dojre. This time Fr. Christlin Rajendram SJ will share how in his practice of a christian, a priest and a religious person, as well as a trainer working with people, he includes the practice of meditation and contemplation in his spiritual life.
